A long time ago when I was at a Trade show with my Father, a lighting competitor was discussing the "lighting Business" with us. He said "When you own your own lighting company, you are either going up or down" This remark made me very motivated, to always design new product, to provide the best quality product at the best price, and to provide excellent customer service.

For fall 2012 we would first like to introduce you to our wine bottle pendant line The Napa Pendant Mesh with Green Glass is a pendant that is a beautiful wine bottle with our heavy hammered steel and rivets shroud, with our metal mesh.

Next is our Napa Pendant with Green Glass, this is a little cleaner looking, shown in rust finish.

Now this style is my favorite the Merlot Pendant, no wine bottle needed to enjoy our merlot. Our Pinot Noir is the simple wine bottle pendant. The perfect lighting accessory for the customer that loves wine.

More New Items

Also new for fall 2012 is a great new chandelier called the Montecito. This chandelier is made with our heavy steel rings, and beautiful hand molded mica cylinders. The Hemingway Sconce compliments the Monticeto chandelier perfectly.

And lastly our Rogue River Mesh Swag, this swag is shown online with a cup of Starbucks coffee to show proportion of this extra large fixture.

New Contemporary Lighting – Steel Partners Inc.

Steel Partners Inc has been very busy manufacturing new high-end lighting products. It started with our Mountain Modern look that I designed last fall. Since then we have had many different clients ask me to do more simple/clean looks.

This spring we have introduced the all new Seattle Collection.

This new line called “The Seattle Collection” was originally used in the new Eagles Landing expansion, located in Oakville Washington. We used the Seattle Double and Single Wall Sconces next to the bed, and the Pendent was used over the table. I recently visited the Hotel, and everything looked beautiful.

Since its release we have had many lighting showrooms purchase this line. Manufactured with a solid rod for the stem instead of chain, and then hand rolled smooth khaki acrylic for lens. The Seattle Line looks masculine, yet simple. As with all of our fixtures it can be wired for florescent or incandescent.

Speaking of florescent, we are OEM distributors for Satco light bulbs. We ship quite a few GU-24, 26 Watt and 13 Watt lamps. We have very competitive pricing Minimum qty on bulbs are 25. We also can supply replacement lampshades of most any style.

Custom Lighting

Many of our clients are aware of our custom capabilities, some are not. Because we design and manufacture on site, we can do most anything. Custom lead times are a little bit of a lead time (6-8 weeks) but as you can see, well worth the wait. Our qty requirements are fairly liberal.

We are currently supplying Yosemite National Park with Custom lighting, along with many new restaurants, and other lodges/resorts across the United States. Qty of 1 to 1,000. No problem at all. With custom finishing also available.

Here at Steel Partners Inc we are always creating new styles of lighting. The one style that never goes out of style is our Rustic and Lodge Cabin Lighting. I think it is because this style always brings us to the place (vacation) that may not be available to us on an every day basis. No matter how busy my life gets, I still appreciate my father’s original Rustic-Lodge-Cabin designs. Something about the romantic glow of our 0.30 thick American made REAL mica that is used in our Rustic lighting brings a smile to my face, even when my life can get tough. I had a client tell me recently that Steel Partners Inc makes “happy lighting”. I thought this was a refreshing comment.

2117-P-Pendant - BUNDLE of STICKSRustic Lodge Lighting is the first style of lighting that we started making over 20 years ago. We started our family business after discovering a need for Rustic lodge lighting while visiting old lodges in the Cascade mountain range. We noticed that many lodges were beautiful, but no one had lighting that was correct for the application. Steel Partners Inc is the original Rustic Lodge Lighting manufacturer.

We can custom manufacture any of our original or your original design. Our designs use beautiful Ponderosa pine 3 dimensional pine cones, as well as hand cut salmon, trout, wapiti, moose and bear, deer and trees. We also have a higher end line of rustic that incorporates a Bavarian feel like our bundle of sticks line; our bundle of sticks floor lamp weighs 42Lbs. Our silhouette designs you can find from the Cascade Mountains to the Smokey Mountains. We make wet sconces, post mounts, indoor sconces, and chandelier, wall sconces, wall art, bathroom hardware, and vanity lights.

Our entire product line is UL listed/ tested before leaving our facility. Steel Partners Inc uses the thickest steel and the heaviest of construction. Everything is welded by hand, one at time. Our customers can’t believe how heavy the fixture is at time of delivery. We supply numerous National parks, Water Parks, High end Developments, Lodges domestic and abroad. The Old Forge Collection is one of  my favorite designs. My father John Gift originally came up with this look three years ago. Since then popularity has grown. Pound for pound you will not find better lifetime lighting made and I do mean pound for pound. The Item #2171 weighs in over 12 Lbs Each!!

Steel Partners Inc Iron forge lighting products are hand-forged in Washington State, by true Craftsman who care about the end result. Each piece consists of many pieces of Steel, that is ” hammered” by hand then welded, finished with your choice of hand applied or powder coated finishes. From there each piece is inspected, then moves on to hand fit the mica or acrylic lens.

Estimated labor in just one of our San Carlos hanging sconce is more than 8 hours. The finished product is a work of art, celebrating the time when there wasn’t automated machines to create beautiful lighting. This Fire forged look is one of our personal favorites. We have supplied ranches in the west hill country of Texas to vineyards and wine cellars on the west coast; many find that this is the look they are looking for.

We use metal mesh with hidden globes made of art style acrylic, clean steel rivets, with hand-applied patina in our design. Weekend at the Gorge | Steel Partners Inc | Rustic Outdoor Adventure

I really enjoy owning and operating Steel Partners Inc.  It allows me to create/design lighting.  Nothing is better than seeing pictures of my beautiful lighting in my customers homes and lodges.  With business being so busy, I usually don’t take the time off needed.  Instead I take lots of mini vacations 2-3 days at a time etc.

This last weekend I was blessed to spend time with my only son (Tracker) Turkey hunting in the Colombia Gorge.  I started taking him when he was 8 years old.  Tracker is an interesting young man.  He shares the same passion, that I do with the outdoors.  He is also quite the entrepeneur, independent, and artistic. 

 

Now that he is 14, I realize that we have to take time and enjoy our precious years with our kids.  This picture reminds me that I am not as young as I once was, even though I still think that I am.

Our original (square) drop ceiling mounts from Steel Partners are still very popular products. The only problem is when decorating a space with round fixtures already, the square design does not fit. We discovered this when we were decorating our own home. New for spring 2011 our drop ceiling mount line has been expanded, now offering a round option. All of our great selling previous designs are now available in round. These will make a great addition to our drop ceiling line-up and yours.
